Sounds a lot like Atlantic. Salmon fly fishing.A reward is rare,Patience is required, change flies, change lines, change your drift and location.Turn your head for a moment you miss a strike! Take a long break…and start anew.

So true!!!! Very similar. To try and try again until something comes of the effort.

And Finland, they taught us to knit and crochet, starting as early as age 5. I’ve knitted sweaters, socks, mittens, scarves, hats, whatever. I’ve crocheted a couple dresses, and I knitted one. It’s a good way to sit in front of the TV and not feel like you’re wasting your time if the program is dull.

I also used to see my own clothes when I was in college because at that time fabric was cheaper than ready-made clothes.

We were broke so I had to do something🤣🤣🤣

For me, the community of people I have met through knitting has been wonderful so far! Art making has always been a bit lonelier.

Oh, that is so familiar. I have knitted all of my life, and I don’t know how to read a pattern. I was taught to knit the old-fashioned way, just by example, and verbal instruction. And once I learned the basics, it was just figure it out on your own and learned by messing things up and unraveling.I still love to knit and knit every day. It’s very satisfying and with your tenacity an artistic creativity, I know you’ll do some wonderful things. The process itself is very gratifying and there are no mistakes, just need to go in a different direction. Keep going girl.!

I really enjoy reading your posts.

I had no idea you knit! I am actually forcing myself to learn how to follow a pattern. Ugh, not my usual way of working! :)
